What is Workflow?

Estimated reading: 3 minutes

A workflow in FlowMattic is an automated sequence of actions that connects different tasks, events, or processes within the platform. It defines the steps required to accomplish a specific goal or complete a task efficiently and effectively. Each workflow consists of a “Trigger” and one or more “Actions.” When the trigger event occurs within FlowMattic, the specified actions are automatically executed, streamlining processes, reducing manual effort, and improving productivity.

In a workflow:

  • Trigger: The starting point of the workflow, representing an event or condition that initiates the automated sequence of actions.
  • Actions: The tasks or operations performed in response to the trigger event, such as creating tasks, sending notifications, updating records, or integrating with external tools and platforms.

Workflows in FlowMattic enable users to automate repetitive tasks, integrate various tools and systems, and orchestrate complex processes with ease. Whether it’s managing sales leads, processing customer orders, or coordinating project tasks, workflows empower users to streamline their workflow, increase efficiency, and focus on higher-value activities.
