FlowMattic Settings Page

The Settings page in FlowMattic is your centralized hub for managing global configurations, notifications, integrations, and workflow optimization. Below is a detailed explanation of each setting, now including the latest additions in version 5.0.

1. Custom Table Databases (New in v5.0)

This section allows you to manage connections to custom table databases, whether local or external.

  • Connect Database: Add new database connections, enabling the use of external databases for storing and managing data tables.
  • Fetch Existing Tables: Toggle this option to fetch and edit existing tables from the connected database directly within FlowMattic.
  • Current Site Database: The local WordPress database will remain an available option by default.

This feature is ideal for users who wish to offload data operations to external databases, keeping the WordPress site optimized.

2. Workflow Builder Settings (New in v5.0)

This section provides settings to control the default behavior of the Workflow Builder.

  • Default Workflow Builder: Choose between the new Visual Workflow Builder (introduced in v5.0) or the classic Static Workflow Builder.
  • Default Folder: Set the default folder where all new workflows will be saved. This eliminates the need to manually organize workflows post-creation.

3. SMTP Settings for FlowMattic Email Module (New in v5.0)

Simplify email delivery across workflows by configuring global SMTP settings.

  • Server Name: Enter the SMTP server (e.g., smtp.gmail.com).
  • Port Number: Provide the server port (e.g., 587 for TLS).
  • Username and Password: Enter the SMTP credentials.
  • Encryption Type: Select the encryption method (SSL or TLS).

Once configured, select FlowMattic Default as the email provider in workflows, and these settings will be used for email delivery.

4. Notification of Failed Tasks

  • Enable Notifications: Toggle to receive notifications when a workflow task fails.
  • Notification Email: Specify the email address to receive these notifications.

5. Notification of Authentication Expiry

  • Enable Notifications: Enables alerts for expiring or expired API authentication tokens.
  • Notification Email: Define the email address for these notifications.

6. Task Clean Interval

  • Interval (in days): Specify how often old task history should be cleaned. For example, setting it to 30 removes task history older than 30 days.

7. Allow Integration Deletion

  • Enable/Disable: Control whether users with the Workflow Manager role can delete integrations. When disabled, only admin users can perform this action.

8. Allow Integration Page Access

  • Enable/Disable: Manage whether Workflow Manager users have access to the Integrations page.

9. Webhook URL Base

  • Regular: Default option using WordPress permalinks for webhook URLs.
  • REST API: Use this option if you face issues with permalink-based webhooks. REST API-based URLs are more robust in certain server configurations.

10. Disable Core Integrations

  • Toggle Core Integrations:
    • This section allows you to disable core integrations that are not being used, which can help declutter the workflow editor and improve usability.
    • You will find several core integrations listed here, with a toggle option next to each one. You can turn off any integration that you don’t use to streamline the interface.
List of Core Integrations Available to Enable/Disable:
  • Webhooks: Send or receive data via webhooks.
  • Number Formatter: Tools to manipulate and format numbers.
  • Webhook Response: Handle responses from incoming webhooks.
  • Plugin Actions: Interact with specific WordPress plugins.
  • HARO Email Parser: Parse HARO (Help a Reporter Out) emails.
