Step-by-Step Documentation: Date/Time Formatter by FlowMattic

  1. Choose Application Date/Time Formatter: Select the “Application Date/Time Formatter” action from the available actions in your FlowMattic application.
  1. Action Event Options: In the Action Event section, you will find three options to choose from:

2.1 Add/Subtract Time: Select this option if you want to manipulate the date by adding or subtracting time.

2.2 Modify Current Date: Choose this option if you want to modify the current date.

2.3 Compare Two Dates: Select this option if you want to compare two dates.

  1. Add/Subtract Time:

3.1 Enter Date: Provide the date you would like to manipulate. To use the current date, use the input [current_date].

3.2 Expression: Specify the amount of time you want to add or subtract from the date. Use the format [+/- time]. Examples: +8 hours 1 minute, +1 month -2 days, -1 day +8 hours.

3.3 To Format: Enter the desired format to which the date should be converted.

3.4 From Format: Optionally, you can specify the format of the original date. Right-click anywhere on the action step to access the context menu for additional options.

  1. Modify Current Date:

4.1 Date Output Format: Specify the desired format for the modified date.

4.2 Time Zone: Select the desired time zone by choosing a city. This is used for the current date and time.

4.3 Operation: Select the operation to determine how you want to modify the date. Like add or subtract the date.

4.4 Time Unit: Choose the time unit (e.g., hours, days, months) to modify the date.

4.5 Time Unit Value: Enter the value for the selected time unit to modify the date.

  1. Compare Two Dates:

5.1 Enter Start Date: Provide the start date for comparison. Use the format [dd:mm:yy]. For the current date, use the code [current_date].

5.2 Enter End Date: Enter the end date for comparison. Use the format [dd:mm:yy]. The time zone is assumed to be the same for both dates.

5.3 Start Date Format: Specify the format of the start date (e.g., “ddd MM DD HH:mm” for “Sun Jan 22 23:04”).

5.4 End Date Format: Specify the format of the end date (e.g., “ddd MM DD HH:mm” for “Sun Jan 22 23:04”).
