License Activated, but Still Shows Not Active on Integrations Page

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

If you’ve activated your FlowMattic license but still see a “License Not Active” message on the Integrations or other admin pages, this issue may be caused by cached license responses in WordPress. Here’s an explanation and step-by-step guide to resolve it.

The Problem

When users access the Integrations Page before activating the license, FlowMattic fetches the license status from the server and stores it in WordPress transients (temporary cache) for up to 24 hours. Even after activating the license, the cached response might not clear immediately, causing the “License Not Active” message to persist.

The Solution

To ensure the license status is updated and the transient cache is cleared, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the License Admin Page:
    • In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the FlowMattic License Settings page.
  2. Deactivate the License:
    • Click the Deactivate License button to deactivate your current license.
  3. Wait for a Few Minutes:
    • Allow some time (around 5-10 minutes) for the WordPress transient cache to clear.
  4. Re-Activate the License:
    • Enter your license key again and click the Activate License button.
  5. Verify the License Status:
    • After reactivating the license, revisit the Integrations Page or any other admin pages to confirm the license is now recognized as active.

Why This Works

Deactivating and reactivating the license forces FlowMattic to fetch the latest license status directly from the server. This process also clears the outdated transient cache, ensuring the license status is updated across all admin pages.

Prevention Tips

  • Always activate your FlowMattic license before accessing the Integrations Page or other admin features.
  • If you encounter this issue frequently, consider clearing WordPress transients manually using a plugin like WP-Optimize or directly through your database.

Conclusion

This issue arises from cached license responses but can be quickly resolved by deactivating and reactivating your license. Following these steps ensures the transient cache is refreshed, and your license status is accurately reflected across all FlowMattic admin pages.
